Fringe Curious @ EdFest
Join us Saturday July 18 from 4pm (tomorrow!) in the gallery at Brooklyn Art Haus (24 Marcy Ave) for our next Fringe Curious gathering!
This will be a socializing, mingling, co-working sort of afternoon. Practice pitching your show, meeting other artists, trade skills and resources, and share your packing and survival tips for Edinburgh.
And if you need to switch off for a minute (or 75), check out Channel, a ‘fully immersive, interactive electronic soundbath designed for deep rest and radical listening.’ Or as Jess describes it, ‘a magical box of soothing sound and light.’ It’s running at 12:30, 3:15, and 5pm on Saturday and Sunday. Code IRNBRU to save $5 on tickets.

Fringe Curious x USA to Edinburgh @ IndieSpace
Our friends at IndieSpace (a national treasure) our hosting their next IndieSpace Together coworking day on July 22 from 1-5pm!
IndieSpace Together is a community-powered gathering space for artists to connect, recharge, and grow. It is a space to get some work done, meet new people, or just be in the mix with other creatives. Peter Michael Marino (of the USA to Edinburgh facebook group) and Jess Ducey will be hosting a table for Fringe-bound artists to work / panic / make friends.
And this month, there’s a bonus opportunity to see Soho Rep’s The Potluck at Playwright’s Horizons for free afterwards! All events are free, but RSVP is required.

EdFest, a festival of Fringe previews, is on at Brooklyn Art Haus all weekend. Warm up for Fringe and catch 8 different shows this weekend!

The annual Edinburgh Fringe Yankee (complimentary / inclusive) Meetup will be at The Pear Tree on Thursday 6 August from 5 pm until ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Open to all international artists (and those who love them). A great opportunity to flyer swap, recruit butts for when you’ve got a reviewer in, ask awkward questions about Scottish slang, and make new friends.
